Very, very scrumptious! Made them for a late afternoon snack and they were gone within an hour. I did wind up having to use twice the amount of the cinnamon/sugar coating at the end—but I probably coated mine too excessively! Delish—thanks for sharing!

Delicious! I baked them too long (23 min.) because I thought the tops would be more brown, so they were a little dry, but that was completely my fault. I’ll make these again and shorten the baking time. So good! Thanks!

I made these this morning. I just had one warm. Very yummy and they do taste just like cake doughnuts rolled in cinnamon sugar. I only dipped the top of mine in butter and the topping mix. I definitely had just enough butter and some topping left. I ended up with 9 of them. I might try mini ones next time.

These were awesome! Quick and easy and smelled the entire kitchen up with cinammon.

Perfect recipe! These are every bit as delicious as advertised! All the taste of a fried donut without the frying. To make them even more healthy I substituted applesauce in place of the oil. Same texture, same taste…I highly recommend it!

I just finished making these and they are very good. I made 24 mini muffins and baked them for 15 minutes. I used almost 1/2 cup of melted butter and a bit more cinnamon/sugar mixture for the coating.

I had all the ingredients in my pantry and decided to give these a whirl…. so very easy to make and they taste divine! My 6 year old had a blast helping as well!

Made these tonight and I’m so glad I doubled the batch! Only dipped/rolled the top 2/3 of the muffin and they were still good (and not quite as messy). Next time I’ll try to make them a titch healthier by using whole wheat flour and applesauce instead of oil. Great recipe!

We are eating these as breakfast right now. I made them using fresh ground hard red wheat, just because that’s what I had on hand. I’m sure that made them “heartier” but that’s what we’re used to here. These muffins are very good, the kids all gave their thumbs up (four boys) and because they are fast to make and with “on hand” ingredients, I’m certain we’ll make these often. Thanks for sharing!

YUM! These are delicious! She’s right, they do taste just like a cinnamon-sugar doughnut. Unlike others, I had plenty of cinnamon-sugar mixture, but not enough butter (although I may have coated mine too generously). These were easy, quick, and are definitely going into my recipe box ASAP

I haven’t tried your recipe, but I can actually imagine what it tastes like! My family has a recipe that we’ve been using for years, and the ingredients are pretty much identical to your Muffins That Taste Like Doughnuts. :0) Our recipe is called Martin’s Breakfast Puffs, named after some dear friends of the family. This family used to always make them special for breakfasts!
Don’t you just love eating these muffins right after they’ve been dipped?!

I made these this morning for my family. We ALL loved them!! They were delicious!! I made a little extra spread which we added to them right before we ate them: melted butter with the cinnamon sugar mixture and spread that on the inside of the muffins (same amounts as the topping) . I will definitely make these yummy delights again!

I saw these over on PW Cooks and I had to come see for myself. I’m going to have to convert these to Gluten Free, and my health-concsious self is going to have a really hard time with the butter-dipping step, but I just KNOW my kiddos would LOVE these so I am just going to have to push through!

Could you make these in advance, freeze, and reheat??

just made these. They are very good, but I made them too big – only 8 muffins total. In doing so the coating was not with every bite. The muffins need the coating with every bite to be amazing. Next time I will make them as directed, 12 muffins. They are awesome when one has a bite with the coating, and good when one has a bite without the coating. So easy. I can’t wait to make them again. A keeper recipe that made my place smell wonderful! Thanks so much for posting it!
