Description

Everyone knows monkey bread! It’s the gooey, sinful, and easy-to-make sweet treat that everyone loves.

Ingredients

  • 3 cans (10 Oz. Can) Refrigerated Buttermilk Biscuits
  • 1 Tablespoon Cinnamon
  • ½ cups Sugar
  • 1 cup Unsalted Butter (2 Sticks)
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Water
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350°.

Quarter biscuits. You can do this using a pizza cutter or a pair of kitchen scissors. Makes it go a little faster. Roll biscuit pieces in cinnamon and sugar that have been mixed together. Layer biscuits in the bundt pan.

Melt butter, brown sugar and water; bring to a light boil (simmer) for about 2 minutes, then add vanilla and pour over the biscuits.

Bake for about 25 minutes.

Cook’s note: You can make this in a 9 x 13 pan if you don’t have a bundt pan.

I made it this morning and it was fantastic! I made it according to the recipe this first time. My mom put apples in it as a child, but never used a recipe (which I always fail at!). Now that I found a perfect recipe I can follow, I plan to add apples the next time! Even without fruit, this brought back so many memories of eating money bread as a kid!

This monkey bread was GREAT! I used a 9×13 pan and it worked perfectly. The kids gobbled it up! Thanks for sharing!

Wow! Absolutely fabulous. The addition of vanilla really amps up the gooey, sticky carmel sauce! The kids loved it.
