Description

My grandmother’s beer biscuits.

Ingredients

  • 3-½ cups Bisquick Or Similar Baking Mix
  • 2 Tablespoons Sugar
  • 1 can (12 Oz. Size) Beer

Preparation

My Grandma didn’t leave any instructions, she knew this so well. But I prepared them like drop biscuits.

Mix together all of the ingredients until just incorporated, then drop large spoonfuls onto a lightly greased baking sheet.

Bake in a 350F oven for about 12-15 minutes or until golden brown on top. Would also work in a loaf pan.

Very nice, light and fluffy. I used an amber ale, which wasn’t too overwhelming, but had a nice flavor. I’m wondering what these would be like with a stronger beer…perhaps a porter?
