These scones bring back memories of being five and waiting (not so patiently) by the oven as the scent of butter and sugar permeated the air. These aren’t the same scones my mom makes, but they come pretty close.

I made this last night and it came out delicious…I did have a problem with the dough being waaaaaay too sticky though…any idea what I did wrong? The end product came out fine, but getting there was really tough. Any help would be appreciated!

If the dough was sticky while kneading it slowly add more flour. You don’t want to add to much though. Also, when rolling it out into strips make sure that there is a little bit of flour on the counter to make it easier to handle. Hope that helps.

Thanks! I tried adding a little flour as I kneeded but it still stayed pretty sticky so I just kinda gave up cause I didn’t want to add too much haha The bread itself came out delicious, just was really really sticky. Oh well! I’ll try it again and hopefully have an easier time! Thanks for your help!
