oops, forgot my rating. So I say again, best and easiest cinnamon rolls ever! Thanks!

These are AMAZING and just like my grandma used to make. I have made them many times and everyone around loves them. My mom even requests that I mail them to her!

These are so wonderful. I made them for Christmas as gifts for my family. Because I wanted everyone to enjoy them hot on Christmas morning and couldn’t deliver them that day I par-baked them and then froze the trays. I delivered them the day before with directions on how to bake them and with the icing. They were a HUGE hit. 5 months later people still talk about them

Awesome! My first attempt at making cinnamon rolls and they turned out great. Everyone loved them. It does make a huge recipe so be prepared to freeze them or give them away! The icing was great. I am not a coffee fan so I was a little worried about it but it was wonderful.

This one is one of the best recipes I have every tried. It’s a keeper for me. My family loved them. They do make a big batch so I would ether freeze half, make some for friends, or just cut the recipe in half.

These are super yummy. Instead of the Maple Frosting, I mix equal amounts of powdered sugar and Bailey’s, then add a little more sugar until it’s a “good” consistency. It’s not for kids, but it’s gooooood.

These are tasty, albeit extremely sweet. I halved the amount of sugar I added when rolling them out, and they still turned out a bit too sweet for my taste. It could have something to do with the fact that I substituted vanilla extract for the maple in the frosting- perhaps the maple flavor helps to cut the sweetness a little? In addition, I halved the amount of melted butter I poured onto the rolled-out dough, and they were still drowning in it. Not a big issue, they still worked just fine, but a little strange. A really great thing about these rolls is that they really don’t make your kitchen too messy- mixing the dough all in one big pot really helps to cut down on dishes. I had one pan with fewer rolls in it than the other ones, and the rolls in that pan spread nicely into flatter, rounder rolls- I personally like the odd geometric-ness of the rolls in the round pan, but the rounder ones were a little more aesthetically pleasing.

I can not get the log to roll up to save my life! I used plenty of flour on my rolling surface, but with no luck. It just turns the cinnamon rolls into cinnamon goo balls. But they bake and taste just as well as a true roll. Think it would be safe to add more flour to the dough to try to cut out some of the stickiness?

These were not only EASY but they were oh so good! I was baking on “auto-pilot” and wasn’t really paying close attention- and all of a sudden realized this made 7 pans worth! The family was thrilled! We ran out and got some disposable foil pans during the 1st rising time, so I could freeze a few batches before they were baked. I made a batch of cream cheese frosting and a batch of the maple icing. Both were a HIT tho the kids preferred the cream cheese frosting over the other as they didn’t care for the coffee flavor. Thanks for a simple recipe! I think this was first batch of cinnamon rolls I have made without all the eggs in the dough. This recipe is a keeper, thank you!

I made these to give to co-workers and the kids’ teachers. Like a couple of commenters, I had to add quite a bit of flour (at least 2 cups) to get the dough to hold together. But they turned out wonderfully in the end.

Also, I searched high and low for maple flavoring and ended up finding it at Wal-Mart.

Holy makeral Sapphire! I had a recipe that really good, then tried these this week. My husband loves my cooking, but never .. and I mean .. never, has he uttered the words, “This melts in your mouth!” You are absolutely correct Ree, these ARE the best cinnamon rolls on the face of the earth. Guess what I’m giving for Christmas this year?
Looove your site! Oh, and tonight I’m trying your braised short ribs … mmm

Can someone help me? I want to make sure I do this right. The recipe calls for 2 packages of yeast. Is that 2 envelopes or 6 envelopes (3 envelopes in a strip or package). TIA!

I have to make a half batch for it to fit properly in my 5 quart KitchenAid… otherwise it climbs up the beater and gets into the spring – ew! However, a half batch is more than enough for a 9×13 casserole dish of these, so that’s fine with me.

I’m having friends over for a weekend and wanted to make these ahead on either Wed or Friday before they arrive and then bake them Sunday. What is the best way to do that? I’ve never made anything with yeast before so I wasn’t sure if I let it rise in the pan and then could pop it in the fridge/freezer or if I should bake it and then reheat it (I’m afraid that’ll make it dry)
