These little treats have a brownie base, cream cheese frosting middle, and a topping of chocolate and peanut butter Rice Krispies. Oh, man.
For the brownie base, mix brownies according to package directions or use your favorite recipe. Bake in a 9×13 pan and allow to cool completely.
For the cream cheese frosting, beat together cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla until fully mixed. Spread on top of cooled brownies and sprinkle with nuts.
For the chocolate peanut butter rice krispies topping, in a large pan, combine chocolate chips and peanut butter over low heat. Continue stirring until the chocolate and peanut butter are melted. Stir in cereal, making sure to coat all the cereal with the peanut butter chocolate mixture.
Spread the cereal mixture on top of the brownies and frosting and chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
Keep covered and store in the refrigerator.

I made these last night for a party at work today. Girl, you should have heard the ranting and raving. The hardest part of making these was waiting for the brownies to cool.
Thanks so much for sharing this wonderful recipe!

Lots of frosting, even with a 9X13 pan – but what’s wrong with extra frosting?? These were gobbled up at a potluck this weekend, a total and complete hit. Thanks for the idea!

When I saw the picture on the homepage, I knew I had to try these! I’m the type of person who only uses her kitchen on holidays, so it was a pretty big deal for me to make these for no other reason than to make them. I am very glad I did! I made a few changes. 1. I added probably 3/4 cup more powdered sugar, as it was still a little too thick and cream cheesy for my tastes. 2. My family does not like nuts in their desserts, so I subbed Heath Bar toffee bits- it works great with the recipe! 3. Couldn’t find my 9×13 pans, so I had to make it in 8×8- which made them very tall, but no less tasty! (used fork and knife) 4. I had lots of extra frosting leftover, so I put a layer on top of the rice krispie layer, along with another sprinkling of Heath Bar bits. The extra frosting might be too much for some, but it’s perfect for my family, as we consider ourselves dessert connoisseurs. It was very easy to make and not too time consuming- I will be making this again!
