Description

Crispy, sticky delicious wings with a simple teriyaki glaze.

Ingredients

  • 4 pounds Chicken Wings, Tips Cut And Split
  • ½ teaspoons Salt
  • 2 whole Green Onions, Sliced
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame Seeds, Roasted
  • _____
  • FOR THE GLAZE:
  • 2 ounces, fluid Sweet Soy Sauce
  • 2 ounces, fluid Sake
  • 2 ounces, fluid Mirin
  • 1 Tablespoon Sugar

Preparation

To prepare the glaze
Mix the soy, sake, mirin and the sugar in a small bowl and set aside.

Preheat the broiler.

Cut off the wing tip and separate the wings at the joint. Place the wing pieces on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil and season the wings with salt.

Place the wings in the oven and broil for 5 to 7 minutes on each side.

Once the wings are done, place the wings in a skillet over medium heat and add the teriyaki glaze into the skillet and toss to coat. Simmer for 5 to 7 minutes until the glaze beings to bubble, remove from heat and let sit for 2 minutes.

Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.

I have started doing my hot wings in a 400 degree oven, and like them even better than fried….I will have to try them with the teriyaki sauce, it sounds great!
