Description

This white chicken chili has a creamy broth and just the right spice.

Ingredients

  • 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1-½ pound Cubed Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breast (uncooked)
  • ½ cups Chopped Onion
  • 2 cloves Garlic, Minced
  • 2 cups Chicken Broth
  • 2 cans (15 Oz. Size) Northern Beans, Drained And Rinsed
  • 4 ounces, weight Can Chopped Green Chilies
  • ½ teaspoons Cayenne Pepper, Or To Taste
  • 1 teaspoon Oregano
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream
  • 1 cup Sour Cream

Preparation

Heat oil in large pan over medium heat. Add chicken, onion, and garlic and cook until chicken is browned and cooked through. Add the chicken broth, beans, chilies, cayenne pepper, and oregano. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 30 minutes. Remove from heat. Add the sour cream and cream. Mix through and serve.

This is very good! I first made this several years ago and printed the recipe out and it has been a staple in our home since. I had login problems so that is why I am just now writing a review. We do normally add some shredded cheese on top of each bowl.
