Cocoa powder gives this chili a rich, full flavor, and you probably have most of these ingredients in your pantry already.
Dice the onion and finely mince the garlic. In a large pot, heat the oil over medium heat and add the onion, garlic, and ground turkey. Cook until the turkey is done and the onions are translucent.
Drain the 3 cans of beans and add them and the tomato sauce to the pot. I used about a can and a half of tomato sauce, but adjust the amount to your personal consistency preferences. Add all the spices except the cocoa powder and cook the chili over medium heat for 10 or 15 minutes. Then stir in the cocoa powder and cook for 2-3 more minutes.
Garnish with cheddar cheese, sour cream, and chopped cilantro, if desired.

This looks so good! I have been looking for a chili recipe that I can lighten up a bit, and I love that this is made with ground turkey.
