This chili definitely has some kick, but not overwhelmingly so. Best served with shredded sharp cheddar, sour cream, and chopped raw onion. Don’t forget the cornbread too!
1. In large pot, brown beef and sausage. Drain.
2. Add green pepper, onion, garlic, and chili powder. Stir and cook 2-3 minutes.
3. Add beer and stir to loosen any browned bits on bottom of pot.
4. Add remaining ingredients, and bring to a boil.
5. Reduce heat and simmer covered 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
6. Remove lid and simmer another 1-1 1/2 hours, or until desired consistency, stirring occasionally.
7. Remove habenero and cherry peppers before serving.
