Sweetcorn, Bacon and Tomato Saute

Description
A quick and easy late summer supper idea: toss bacon, sweetcorn and fresh tomatoes in a pan and saute to perfection.
Ingredients
- 4 slices Bacon, Cut Into 1-inch Strips
- 2 ears Corn, Kernels Sliced Off
- Freshly Ground Black Pepper
- Pinch Of Red Pepper Flakes
- ¼ whole Red Onion, Finely Diced
- 1 whole Large Heirloom Tomato, Cored, Halved, And Cut Into 1/2-inch Pieces
Preparation
1. Cook bacon in a large skillet over medium-high heat, turning occasionally, until browned, 4 to 6 minutes.
2. Add corn kernels; season with pepper and a pinch of crushed red pepper. Cook until corn is coated in bacon fat and heated through, about 4 minutes. Stir in red onions. Remove from heat, add tomatoes and serve immediately.

sounds yummy, but how can this be a vegetarian recipe with bacon in it?

thinking a recipe in which the first ingredient is bacon maybe shouldn’t be tagged as vegetarian??
