Delicious fresh green beans with bacon. A weeknight family favorite.
Fill a large pot ¾ full of water and add a heavy sprinkle of salt. Bring to a boil. Boil green beans for about 2–3 minutes or longer if you prefer more tender beans. Immediately take them off the heat, place in a colander, and rinse generously with cold water.
Heat a cast iron or other skillet over medium high heat. Add 1 to 2 tablespoons olive oil.
Dry green beans with a paper towel and add to sauté pan. Cut bacon into pieces and add to pan. Sauté for about 5–10 minutes. Add salt and pepper to taste and serve.
