One of my favorite summertime dishes!
Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium to medium high heat. Cut the unpeeled tomatoes into 1/4 inch slices.
Lightly beat the eggs with a few dashes of the hot sauce. Place the flour, milk, egg wash, and cornmeal in separate shallow dishes.
Dip each tomato slice in the milk, then flour, then egg wash, then cornmeal. Fry the slices in the skillet over medium to medium high heat until both sides are brown. Add oil to the pan as needed season with salt and pepper to taste. When finished frying, place on plate lined with a paper towel and allow to cool. Serve immediately.
