Description

The best coleslaw recipe I have ever made, and I am picky about coleslaw! It is creamy but has a wonderful tang to it. This goes beautifully with my Pulled Pork and Finger Lickin’ BBQ Chicken recipes (see my recipe box)! Serves 8 as a sandwich topper, about 4 as a side dish.

Ingredients

  • 1 bag (14 Oz. Bag) Coleslaw Mix
  • ½ cups Mayonnaise
  • 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 2 Tablespoons Cider Vinegar
  • 2 Tablespoons Sugar, Or More As Needed
  • 1 teaspoon Celery Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Fresh Cracked Pepper (more Or Less To Taste)

Preparation

Combine all ingredients in a large bowl, cover and chill for at least 2 hours, stirring occasionally. Serve on top of pulled bbq pork (or chicken).

This was a great recipe and my family loved it! I didn’t have celery salt on hand, but had celery seed and went with that like others had mentioned. Turned out amazing! Thanks for the great recipe!!

This was the perfect “real coleslaw” recipe. I also used crushed celery seed and salt instead of the celery salt, and it worked great. Getting ready to make it again already!

Loved this! Only change I made was using sunflower oil instead of olive oil, but only because I love its strong flavor. I’m sure this is amazing with olive oil too! So happy to be able to make my own whenever I want now, no weird ingredients!

This is THE BEST coleslaw I’ve ever had. It has the right amount of sweetness with a nice tang from the vinegar and the celery salt is perfect. Thank you so much for sharing!!

This goes perfectly on top of our pulled pork or shredded BBQ chicken sandwiches.
