Description

A yummy, beautiful side dish for your Christmas feast. If there’s anything better than roasted Brussels sprouts, I can’t think of what it is.

Ingredients

  • 3 pounds Brussels Sprouts
  • ½ cups Olive Oil
  • Salt And Pepper
  • 1 cup Balsamic Vinegar
  • ½ cups Sugar
  • 1 cup Dried Cranberries

Preparation

Trim/clean Brussels sprouts, then cut them in half if desired (or you can leave them whole). Arrange on two baking sheets and toss with olive oil. Sprinkle with plenty of salt and pepper and roast at 375 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes, or until brown.

Combine balsamic vinegar and sugar in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to medium-low and reduce until very thick, about 15 to 20 minutes.

Drizzle the balsamic reduction over the roasted sprouts, then sprinkle on dried cranberries. Toss and serve immediately.

Really good! I’m not a Brussels sprouts fan but I loved these. The addition of balsamic glaze and craisins made them outstanding.

I made thes around the holidays and my family loved them. The balsamic was taking a really long time to reduce and my brothers were hungry so I gave up and used it before it reduced and it was still excellent.

This recipe was my first try at brussels sprouts, and gosh am I glad I chose this one! I loved the sweet green deliciousness of the sprouts, though the balsamic reduction was a strange mix of over-sweet and bitter. I reduced the sugar from the start, and I think I need a better balsamic vinegar, and that should do the trick! The cranberries are just the perfect touch. Delish.

Made this dish last night with Ree’ pot roast. It was wonderful. I love roasted Brussels sprouts and am so happy to find this recipe. Fresh sprouts are the way to go. Have tried frozen and they were very bitter. Could not eat them. This is the perfect combination of flavors. Thank you for posting so many easy recipes.
