A ridiculously easy recipe for homemade applesauce!
Core, peel, and slice apples and toss them in your crock pot. Add water (or applejuice for a sweeter applesauce) until the bottom is covered completely. A cup of liquid should do the job, otherwise add more until the bottom is covered completely.
Cook on low for about 4 hours, or until apples are soft. Once soft, mash the apples up.
For a thinner sauce, add the cooked apples to a blender and pulse until it reaches desired texture.
The applesauce in my photo was made by just mashing the apples. This makes for a slightly chunkier applesauce.
