Description

The holidays wouldn’t be complete in our house without this tea, but I like to make it any time I need a little comforting. It makes the house smell like Christmas.

Ingredients

  • 2 sticks Cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon Whole Cloves
  • 2 cups Cold Water
  • 2 bags Tea
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 2 cups Orange Juice
  • ½ cups Lemon Juice
  • 9 cups Water

Preparation

1. Bring cinnamon, cloves, and water to a boil.

2. Remove from heat, add tea bags and steep for 5-10 minutes.

3. Add remaining ingredients.

4. Simmer, the longer the better (but try not to boil)

You’re right. This is very comforting and warming. I’ve been making it with decaf tea so that I can drink it in the evening and relax.

This fills the house with a beautiful, comforting aroma and is warming to drink. Lots of vitamin C, too! I made it several times last year and came searching for the recipe again now that the cold weather is here.
