I hate cooked oysters. Well, I hate them unless they are in this stuffing, which is a family tradition. We serve them every holiday meal even if they don’t go well with anything else on the table.
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
2. Combine cream and oyster liquid.
3. Combine bread and cracker crumbs. Mix with melted butter.
4. Grease a baking dish and layer 1/3 of the crumbs in bottom. Add 1/2 of the oysters and the second third of the crumbs. Season with salt and pepper. Pour 1/2 of cream/oyster liquid mixture over it.
Add the second half of the oysters followed by the last third of the crumbs. Pour remaining liquid over. Season with salt and pepper. Dot with diced butter.
5. Bake for 20 minutes.
