Never ever will you go back to the canned cranberry sauce again!
Peel and core apples (it doesn’t matter what kind of apples you use—I use Braeburn). Then chop each apple into bite-sized or smaller chunks.
Put all ingredients into a pot. Bring to a boil, stir on occasion. Turn down heat, stirring until it boils down.
Let cool in the pot before putting into a serving dish. Can be served warm or cold.
Note: make sure to taste during the process. Add more sugar if it’s too tart, because let’s face it, fresh cranberries can be pretty potent!
