Caramelized apples and cinnamon are combined for the perfect, creamy, ice cold smoothie. Even better, it’s topped with salted caramel!
Heat a small saucepan or skillet to medium heat. Add butter and allow it to melt. When butter is melted add apple, brown sugar and cinnamon. Stir well so apples are evenly coated with sugar and cinnamon. Reduce heat to medium low, cover and let it simmer for 5 minutes. After five minutes, stir and let it simmer another 5 minutes. Remove apples from heat and let them cool.
When apples are cool, put them and any residual juice into a blender. Add frozen Cool Whip, milk and ice. Blend for 30 seconds or until smooth.
Pour into two glasses and top with caramel sauce and sea salt.
