Homemade Kahlua, so easy and oh so good!
Split vanilla beans and scrape out vanilla; set aside. In a large glass jar (I use my sun tea jar), combine all ingredients including vanilla and stir to mix well. Put the lid on and leave on the counter for at least ten (10) days. Then take out the vanilla beans and put the Kahlua in pretty jars. Keep for yourself or give as gifts. Enjoy!

Yes this does make a serious amount of Kahlua, I believe it is 2 gallons, the size of the large glass jar for making sun tea. I fill 4 1/2 wine size bottles with one batch. It keeps well and makes a great gift

Not really surprised this recipe caught my eye as it looks AMAZING– but can you confirm the quatities— by my rough math 8 cups of water + 1/2 gallon of vodka would make a SERIOUS amount of kahlua… not that I’m complaining!!!
