Description

Refreshing and so easy to make. We always have a pitcher of sweet tea in the fridge the addition of red ripe strawberries makes it even better!

Ingredients

  • 10 cups Water, Divided
  • ¼ teaspoons Baking Soda
  • 6 bags Family-sized Iced Tea Bags
  • 16 ounces, weight Fresh Red Ripe Strawberries, Or Fruit Of Your Choice
  • 1 Tablespoon Sugar (to Macerate Strawberries)
  • 1  Lemon
  • 1  Lime
  • ⅓ cups Organic Honey, Or Sweetener Of Your Choice, To Taste

Preparation

Add 3 cups water, baking soda and tea bags to the Instant Pot insert. Place the cover and lock into position. Set the vent to Sealing, then select Manual + High Pressure and set the timer to 5 minutes.

While the tea brews in the Instant Pot, wash and hull strawberries then quarter and toss into the food processor with sugar. Zest lemon and lime then squeeze the juice from both into the processor. Blitz for a minute and set aside.

Allow Instant Pot to do a natural release for 5 minutes, then do quick release to depressurize fully. Remove tea bags and then add honey or sweetener if using.

Once you’ve added the sweetener (if using), add remaining 7 cups water and allow tea to chill completely before adding the strawberry puree.

Stir in strawberry puree. Fill glasses with ice and pour to the top, garnish with strawberries, lemon wheels, sliced oranges or fruit and herbs of your choice.
