Make a frothy, smooth, delicious latte at home using only your microwave.
Note you will also need a clean pint-sized mason jar with lid and ring.
While brewing coffee to your preference in your regular coffee pot, fill the mason jar with the milk. Any variety is fine. I use skim. Microwave the milk in the jar (without the lid) for one minute. Using an oven mitt, remove the jar from microwave. Screw the lid on very tightly. Cover with a towel and shake as vigorously as you can for about one minute.
Pour the brewed coffee into your favorite large mug. To add a little sweetness and flavoring, if desired, stir in some flavored syrup, sugar, or Truvia. Carefully pour the hot, frothy milk on top. Enjoy!
I started making these because I loved drinking lattes but didn’t have a fancy espresso machine. They have greatly improved my mornings!

Great idea! This will work for steam milk for the kids! I’m currently whisk the hot milk on the stove, and get the froth and add to my coffee.
Thanks!
