Description

An amazing 5-minute treat that is amped up with Baileys liqueur. This is one of the best coffee drinks you’ll ever have, just a few ingredients that work so well together. This Baileys Irish Coffee is also wonderful to serve on St Patrick’s Day!

Ingredients

  • FOR THE WHIPPED CREAM:
  • 6 tablespoons, 2 teaspoons, 4-⅝ pinches Cream
  • 2 teaspoons Bailey's Irish Cream
  • FOR THE IRISH COFFEE:
  • ½ Tablespoons Brown Sugar
  • 1-½ cup Hot Coffee
  • 1-½ ounce, fluid Irish Whiskey
  • ¾ ounces, fluid Bailey's Irish Cream
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract (optional)
  • Cocoa Powder (for Garnish)

Preparation

For the whipped cream:
Use a whisk or electric beater to whip the cream until almost soft peaks but not quite (semi whipped). Add Baileys and stir it through the cream.

For the Baileys Irish coffee:
Heat a glass mug in the microwave for about 30–40 seconds, just to get it nice and warm.

Add the brown sugar to the glass, then add the coffee, filling the mug a bit more than 3 quarters of the way up. Stir until sugar is completely dissolved.

From there, add whiskey, Baileys and vanilla extract if you have it and stir through. Slowly spoon or pour the semi-whipped cream on top until the mug is filled right to the top.

Lightly dust some cocoa powder on top if you want to garnish the drink and then serve straight away.
