Description

Christmas in a cup.

Ingredients

  • 1 gallon Apple Cider (local If You Can)
  • 4 sticks Cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoons Cloves
  • ½ teaspoons Allspice
  • ½ teaspoons Nutmeg
  • 1 whole Orange Sliced With Rind
  • 1 whole Lemon Sliced With Rind
  • 4 cups Orange Juice
  • 1 cup Sugar, Or To Taste

Preparation

Combine all ingredients in a large kettle. Steep just below boiling point for two hours. Remove cinnamon sticks. Serve hot in heat-proof cups or mugs.

This was great, and sooo pretty with the orange slices floating on top! I made it in my crockpot so that it stayed warm the whole night while people were drinking it. :) Only thing I would change is add less sugar. Several people said it was too sweet for them.
