Okay, here is your chance to save a bunch of money. Make this for utter refreshment at a fraction of what a coffee house will charge you. Use the “Good Cheap Espresso” recipe as the base. Note: buy some to-go coffee cups or better yet, invest in a few reusable ones and you are on your way to saving yourself a butt-load of cash!
To make the mocha, dissolve the chocolate in the espresso and then add milk. Now, you make up your mind how big you want to make the drink. Good rule of thumb in espresso drinks is 1/3 espresso to 2/3 milk.
Heat the milk if you want a hot cafe mocha. If you want it iced, simply add the cold milk to the espresso and chocolate and then pour it over ice. If you really want to be fancy like me, pour this into a martini shaker and shake away. Then pour into the cup and top with whipped cream if so desired. Cheers!

Twinks – There is decaf espresso, you know! That’s what I have to use when I make my mochas. ..caffeine makes me CRAZY!
I kinda cheat though and buy the Mocha powder at Starbucks because I just love the powdery texture and taste of that stuff. I never can quite duplicate theirs exactly, but pretty close.
I’ve never tried my mocha’s iced, but I am definitely going to give it a whirl. I’ve been craving the taste but the weather’s been way to hot lately to want to sip a hot drink!

Between the Chai Tea and this Mocha recipe I may never have to sleep again. I’ll just go on caffiene.
