Description

A sweet and spicy treat to be enjoyed SLOWLY.

Ingredients

  • 1-½ cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon Ground Cinnamon
  • 1 gallon Apple Juice
  • 1 bottle Vodka Or Everclear, 750mL

Preparation

In a saucepan, combine the sugar, cinnamon, and a few cups of the apple juice. Stir over medium-low heat for a few minutes, or just long enough to dissolve the sugar. Allow the mixture to cool.

Combine remaining apple juice and vodka in a large glass jug or airtight container. Add the apple juice, cinnamon, and sugar mixture. Stir.

Place the container in your cupboard or in a closet (avoid the light) for about one month.

Serve as an after-dinner drink or with dessert. I recommend serving it at room temperature but I have also seen it chilled or poured over ice. It travels well and I originally tasted it while we were camping with some friends. It’s become sort of a camping tradition for us.

Remember: This is going to be stronger than it seems!

Oh this sounds so good. I just got a bottle of Everclear and need a recipe to use it up. I can’t wait to make this!
