made this as a birthday cake for my 91 year old grandmother and I am here to report she and everyone else in my family LOVED IT. me too! it was such a great alternative to a “cake” cake. May I add that no one guessed graham crackers were in the middle…they thought it was some very thin cake I created because of the way the graham crackers absorb the moisture in the pudding/coolwhip mixture. I didn’t give away how easy it was to make! I loved this and will DEFINITELY be making it again thank you for the great recipe!

dear emilyborland,
please forgive the delay in reviewing this dessert. i hope you will understand that the time between making the dessert and commenting in no way reflects upon the heavenly nature of your recipe. i was profoundly remiss for not sharing with the world my enthusiasm, and the popularity, of such a humble treat. who knew commercial products could be put together in such a way as to rival the wonders of an authentic, from Italy, homemade Tiramisu recipe?! this has its very own flavor, but so VERY delicious. cooks from 50 years ago knew your secret, too. p.s. i think CINNAMON graham crackers are not optional! and keep making this for your anniversary, and that hubby is sure to stick around! thanks.

This turned out great! Eclairs have got to my most favorite dessert and this is a fantastic way to get the flavors of an eclair without all the work!
I changed the chocolate frosting from yours to a simple dark chocolate ganache (I had a killer bar of dark chocolate hanging out waiting to be used) and it was wonderful!!
Thanks so much for the recipe!

I’ve been making this for years and everyone loves it! However, one evening I didn’t have the Karo syrup for the icing and had to resort to putting a container of dark chocolate canned icing in the mocrowave for about 30 seconds, till runny but not really warm, and poured that over the top layer. I never went back to making the icing and never had a complaint. I refrigerate over nite always. That’s some darn good stuff!!
