I found this recipe while going through some of my mother’s old recipes. This is a no fail fudge that is creamy and delicious every time. Brings back great memories from my childhood.
Sift together the powdered sugar and cocoa and set aside.
In a saucepan melt the butter and Velveeta cheese together over low heat. Once the butter and cheese are melted add vanilla extract. Stir in cocoa/ powdered sugar mixture a little at a time until completely used. Once mixture is smooth add chopped nuts as desired.
Pour into a greased 9 x 13 inch pan and spread evenly. I used a cooking spray and it was a little oily around the edge of the fudge. Greasing with a paper towel and butter would probably be more appropriate.
Cool and cut in pieces. Makes about 6 1/2 pounds of fudge.
