Replacing the chocolate helps make it a bit lighter. (Not lighter in the waist though…still working on that).
1. Preheat oven to 350F. Grease and flour or line 12 muffin cups.
2. In a large bowl combine butter, milk, eggs, almond extract, vanilla and cherry flavor.
3. Add cake mix and mix until fully incorporated.
4. Fold in cherry pie filling and pour into muffin cups 2/3 full.
5. Place about 1 Tablespoon of chocolate chips on top of each.
6. Bake for about 18-20 minutes, or until done.
7. Remove and let cool.
