Tailgate winner! Great as a 9×13 cake or as bars. The original recipe (below) is good, but the family might actually prefer a combination of yellow cake and pudding in bar form. But most combos would be good! Coconut cake and pudding with coconut stirred in, cherry chip cake with white chocolate pudding and cherry chips, lemon cake and pudding with blueberries … use your imagination!
1. Make pudding using the pudding mix and milk.
2. Add hot putting to dry cake mix and beat for 2 minutes.
3. Allow to cool slightly.
4. Quickly stir in a partial bag of chips so as to prevent them from melting completly.
5. Pour into a greased cake or sheet pan and sprinkle with remaining chips.
6. Bake at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes, or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean.
7. Top bars with Cool Whip when cool.
