Chocolate-covered toffee with a crunchy cracker inside.
Heat oven to 400 degrees. Line a baking sheet with tinfoil and spray lightly with cooking spray. Arrange one package of saltine crackers on the sheet. Set aside.
Melt butter and brown sugar in a saucepan over medium heat. Boil for 3-5 minutes, until the sauce is thick and the brown sugar has completely melted (so the mixture isn’t gritty). Pour 1/3 of it over the crackers—it doesn’t have to cover entirely, just enough so every cracker has a bit of toffee on it. Next, arrange another package of crackers on top of the first cracker layer. Then pour the remaining toffee mixture over the crackers, spreading evenly.
Place into the oven and cook for 5 minutes—edges may burn if left in there longer. Take out and sprinkle chocolate chips on top. When those look like they are melting, spread evenly. Lastly, sprinkle chopped pecans on top.
Place the whole sheet in the fridge (or freezer if you’re impatient like me) until it’s cooled and hard. Then pull the tinfoil off the bottom and break into pieces. Eat and enjoy!

This one didn’t work for me for some reason. I think one layer of crackers would have been better. I thought I boiled it long enough, but it never set right. Ended up too grainy. Still, sugar and chocolate are always delicious no matter what!

Made these last night, and they were super easy and super yummy! I used crumbled Heath bar pieces instead of nuts, and they were a hit! Thanks!

My sister made these when we were teenagers. I’m not sure where she got the recipe but she only made them the one time. I loved them!! I have looked for the recipe and asked around for years to no avail. When I saw this recipe I nearly jumped for joy…seriously! I made them two days later and they tasted EXACTLY as I remembered! Thank you a million times for this recipe! It will be made a lot! A friend of mine tasted them and has requested a whole pan of them!
