Mom got this recipe from my dad’s aunt when she married into the family, over 50 years ago. She has since gotten rid of the husband but kept the recipes and most of the in-laws. We make these every Christmas.
Cook sugar, corn syrup and salt over medium heat until the sugar dissolves. Add peanut butter and stir to blend. Pour over corn flakes in a large bowl and stir to coat. Press mixture into a buttered 10 x 15 inch jelly roll pan with buttered hands. Let cool. Cut into squares and store in an airtight container. Makes about 60 one-inch squares.
