A change-up from the popular chocolate cake.
Preheat oven according to box cake mix instructions for cakes made in round cake pans. Prepare the batter according to box instructions. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pans and bake per box instructions Remove pans from oven and allow cakes to cool. Remove cooled cake from pan and place on a cake dish.
In a mixing bowl add maple syrup, confectioners’ sugar, light brown sugar, soften sweet cream butter and milk. Using a hand mixer blend ingredients together until smooth and creamy.
Once cake is cooled use an offset spatula to spread the frosting on top and sides of cake. Sprinkle pecan pieces on top of cake. Enjoy!
