Description

There is just nothing to this dessert. So fast to whip up, but it does need chill time, which I’ve included in cook time!~~Thanks to Christina and the angelic Gabe for the photo!~~

Ingredients

  • 1 Bag Quality Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips(I Used Ghirardelli)
  • 2 Blocks Cream Cheese, Softened
  • 1/2 Stick Butter, Softened
  • 1/2 Cup Powdered Sugar
  • 1t Vanilla
  • 2 Cups Heavy Whipping Cream, Whipped To Form Stiff Peaks OR 1 Container Frozen Whipped Topping, Thawed, Can Be Used
  • 1 8-9inch Graham Cracker, Oreo Or Shortbread Crust(this Filling Will FILL These Crusts, To The Edges And Beyond :)

Preparation

Carefully melt 3/4 bag of chocolate chips in microwave or a double broiler until smooth and melted. (takes about 1-2 minutes in microwave, so set for one, stir, and continue, 20 seconds at a time, stirring each time, until melted. Set aside.

In mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, butter, sugar and vanilla and beat until smooth.

Add melted chocolate and continue to mix until well combined.

Carefully fold in whipped cream until all incorporated and combined.

Spoon into crust and top with remaining chocolate chips.
Chill at least 4 hours.

Hi Carolyn! I’ll answer your question for Keni if she doesn’t mind The t is for teaspoon and a big T would be for tablespoon. Hope I helped! BTW this recipe sounds delicious!

This was the easiest recipe ever! And it is delicious! I would suggest making half recipe though, or using two pie crusts. I kept piling all my filling on since I didn’t want to waste it and the cheesecake turned out to be a little too rich.

Is the one “t” of vanilla teaspoon or tablespoon?

I wanted a cheesecake without all of the fuss, and this was perfect. I substituted 6 0z of white baking chocolate for the chocolate chips, and drizzled a little white chocolate and some raspberry sauce on top. Delicious!

Oh. my. word. A dessert like this is what makes me sure heaven will have to have chocolate, cream and cream cheese. This is very like the pudding/cream cheese layer of “Dirt Cake” but without the fuss of layering and such. So very yummy! This time we used Sugar Free Cool Whip and it turned out well. Thank you for this recipe!

This recipe was a huge hit! I made it for a birthday party, and used a brownie base instead of the graham crumbs. It was perfect! Thanks.

This is fantastic, and it is well-loved by my family! We have substituted honey for the powdered sugar, and it always comes out creamy and amazingly delicious!
