A very quick and easy fruit dessert to serve with ice cream.
Preheat oven to 375ºF.
Put the butter in a 9×13 pan and put the pan in the oven to allow the butter to melt while oven is preheating. Once the butter is melted remove pan from oven.
In a medium sized bowl mix together the sugar, flour, baking powder, salt and milk. Evenly sprinkle this over the melted butter. Do not stir. Evenly pour the sweetened fruit with juice over the batter.
Bake for 35-40 minutes. Remove from oven, cool slightly, and spoon into bowls. Top with ice cream.
