My best friend’s mom’s recipe. We would go home for Sunday dinner from school just for this cake.
Preheat oven to 350F.
Combine the flour, baking soda and sugar. Stir to combine. Add the pineapple with the juice and the eggs. Mix well. Add walnuts and stir to incorporate.
Cook in 2 9×12 pans at 350 degrees for 40 minutes.
Make the icing:
Beat cream cheese and butter together until creamy. Add vanilla and confectioner’s sugar and beat to combine.
Frost when the cake is cool.
