Description

A layer of peanut butter and chocolate Rice Krispies on marshmallows on brownies. Yum!

Ingredients

  • 1 box (18 To 21 Oz. Box) Brownie Mix Batter, Prepared According To Box Directions
  • Additional Required Ingredients Specified In Mix Package (typically Water, Eggs And Oil)
  • 4 cups Mini Marshmallows
  • 1 cup Creamy Peanut Butter
  • 1-⅓ cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
  • 3 Tablespoons Butter
  • 2 cups Rice Krispies Cereal

Preparation

Cook brownies according to box directions in a 13×9 inch pan (you’ll typically need water, eggs, and oil, as directed in mix package). At about one minute before they are finished cooking, sprinkle with marshmallows and allow them to finish. While hot, spread marshmallows evenly over the brownies and allow to cool.

When cool, place peanut butter, chocolate chips and butter in a medium sized bowl and microwave for 1 minute (or until melted), stopping halfway to stir. Stir in Rice Krispies, then spread over cooled brownies and refrigerate until it is set (about 1 to 2 hours). Cut into squares and serve.

Tips:
-For easier removal, line pan with aluminum foil before baking.
-Marshmallows are easier to spread with a spoon sprayed with nonstick spray.
-If served cold the marshmallows are more stiff, but at room temp, everything is softer. Try both and see what you like best!
