What’s better than a plain yellow cake? One dressed up with peanut butter, chocolate chips, peanut butter chips and peanuts. My pregnant aunt proceded to eat half the pan on one visit. It is that good.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
With an electric mixer, beat together the cake mix, peanut butter and brown sugar until crumbly. Set aside 1/2 cup of the mixture.
Add the water, eggs and oil, blend together until moist. Beat on high for 2 minutes. Stir in half of the peanut butter chips and chocolate chips. Pour into a greased and floured 9×13 cake pan. Combine the remaining peanut butter chips and chocolate chips with the chopped peanuts and the reserved cake crumb mixture. Sprinkle over the top of the cake.
Bake for 40-45 minutes. It is vital you do not overbake the cake. Allow cake to cool and dig in. This is peanut butter and chocolate heaven.
