The easiest peanut brittle ever made and much better than store bought! I got this from a friend a few years ago. Now many batches are made throughout the year!
Cover a large cookie sheet in foil and grease the foil. Set aside. Measure out peanuts, butter and baking soda. Makes the next steps easier.
In a large saucepan, bring corn syrup, sugar, salt and water to a boil. Stir continuously until mixture is at 290° degrees (a candy thermometer is your best friend here!)
Add in peanuts. Keep stirring until the thermometer reads 300°. Remove from heat. Immediately stir in your previously measured butter and baking soda to the saucepan.
Pour at once to foiled and greased cookie sheet. Spread by either tilting sheet or using two forks. Let cool, remove foil from cookie sheet then break into candy pieces. Enjoy!
