Description

The mild tangy flavor of the sour cream is a perfect compliment to the sweetness of the peaches. You can use fresh or frozen peaches, so you can enjoy this treat all year round.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Fresh Or Frozen Peach Slices (If Frozen, Thaw Almost Completely Before Using)
  • ½ cups Granulated Sugar (Depending On The Sweetness Of Your Fruit, You Can Up The Sugar To 3/4 Cups If You Think It Needs It.)
  • ½ cups Whole Milk
  • 1 cup Sour Cream

Preparation

Place peaches in a bowl and sprinkle with sugar. Allow them to chill out together for a little while, stirring them occasionally. Place fruit and sugar into a blender with the other ingredients. Blend until smooth. Chill in refrigerator (an ice bath speeds this along), and then freeze in your ice cream maker following manufacturer’s directions. Transfer to an airtight container and store in freezer.

after I put the ice cream in the freezer for a few hours to really harden up I found the texture quite icy..

Not sure if it was my use of canned peaches?

Anyway I’d only make this again if we could eat it straight away.

made this tonight with canned peaches (not summer yet here in Aus and frozen peaches are expensive).

Had a small taste test and it was so delicious!

And so easy:)
