Unbelievably quick and easy cobbler for days when delicious is the only thing that can make your day all better.
Preheat oven to 400F. Mix together peaches, 1/4 cup sugar, and lemon juice and pour into a 9×13 baking dish.
In a separate bowl mix flour, remaining 1/4 cup sugar, and nutmeg.
Cut in lard until flour resembles coarse crumbs. Mix in enough buttermilk to make a wet dough. Drop heaping spoonfuls of dough onto peaches and bake for 20-30 minutes until top is browned and peaches are soft.
Serve with ice cream.
