Description

It has all the necessary treats: cookie, peanut butter, chocolate and toffee.

Ingredients

  • 1 package (16.6 Oz. Size) Oreo Cookies, Crushed
  • 1-½ stick Butter, Softened, Divided
  • ½ cups Sugar
  • 1 jar (16 Oz. Size) Creamy Peanut Butter
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • 2-½ cups Powdered Sugar
  • 2 cups Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
  • 1 cup Toffee Bits

Preparation

1. Line a 13×9 inch-baking dish with parchment paper.
2. In a large bowl combine Oreo crumbs, 1 stick of butter and sugar until fully incorporated. Press into the pan. Pop in the freezer.
3. Meanwhile, in a large pot, melt peanut butter and remaining butter. Once melted, remove from heat and add vanilla. Mix in powdered sugar.
4. Remove pan from freezer and pour peanut butter mix over. Pop back in the freezer for about 10 minutes, or until firm.
5. In a microwave safe bowl, melt chocolate chips in 30-second increments (stirring in between).
6. Pour melted chocolate over peanut butter and sprinkle with toffee bits. Stick back in the freezer until firm.
7. Cut and serve. Store in the fridge.

I wonder if you need to check your ingredient amounts? I melted the half stick of butter with the PB, but when I mixed in the powdered sugar, it became dry and clumpy. Did you mean 1 CUP of butter? I had to add in another half stick in order to get the PB mix smooth enough to spread. There’s no way I could pour it. I also had to add another 1/2 cup of chocolate chips in order to cover the entire 9×13 pan and my layer is much thinner than your picture shows.

These were divine! Yummy salty peanut butter chocolatey very rich! My only complaint was the oreo bottom was very crumbly and often just fell apart. If i make them again i’m going to try blind baking the crust for 10min or so just to set it. Aside from that we’ll definitely make again! :)
