Description

Brownie-batter-covered Oreos: What else is there to say?

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Coarse Salt
  • ½ teaspoons Baking Powder
  • ¾ cups Unsalted Butter
  • 2 cups Sugar
  • 3 whole Eggs, Lightly Beaten
  • 1 Tablespoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 cup Flour
  • 15 whole Oreos

Preparation

1. Preheat oven to 325°F. Grease a square 9×9″ baking pan.

2. In a large bowl, whisk together the cocoa powder, salt and baking powder. Melt the butter in a sauce pan, then add the sugar and cook for 1–2 minutes, stirring constantly to combine.

3. Pour the butter mixture into the cocoa mixture and stir well to combine. Stir in the eggs and vanilla, until incorporated. Stir in the flour until smooth.

4. Pour half the batter into prepared pan, then place the cookies evenly on the surface and cover with the other half of the batter. Bake for 25 minutes, until the top is cooked and the inside is still slightly under-baked. Let cool before cutting into squares and serving.
