This pound cake was my late grandmother’s recipe. She was an amazing cook. This pound cake is always moist and has incredible flavor.
In a large bowl, cream butter and Crisco together; add sugar. Add eggs, beating after each egg. Add coconut extract and rum extract.
In a separate bowl, thoroughly mix flour, baking powder, and salt. Add flour mixture to creamed mixture alternately with milk. Mix thoroughly after each addition. Pour into a greased and floured tube pan. Bake at 325ºF for 1 1/2 hours or until a toothpick when inserted comes out clean.
