This is pretty much that best chocolate cake you will ever put in your mouth… unless you don’t like Kahlua! But for those who enjoy a moist, chocolatey, alcohol-laced, slice of deliciousness, make this, serve it to friends, hide the left-overs for yourself!
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Mix all the ingredients together in a mixer slowly at first, and then on a high speed just until smooth. Pour the batter into a greased and floured bundt pan.
Bake for 50-55 minutes. While the cake is baking, combine the frosting ingredients. When cake is done, remove from oven and let it cool for 5 minutes and then turn out onto a cake plate. Poke holes in the cake and pour on the frosting.
*If you don’t have any rum, just use 1/2 cup total of the Kahlua for the cake batter. The alcohol will bake out of the cake, and if you don’t want to use Kahlua for the top, just make an icing of 1/2 cup powdered sugar and 1/4 cup whole milk.
