Homemade heath bars: chocolate coated butter toffee pieces. It’s rich and delicious. Makes about 70 small pieces.
1. While stirring constantly, cook sugar, water, corn syrup, butter and salt until mixture reaches 290ºF (hard crack stage). It’s okay to stir this candy because you want to form that crystalized structure that toffee always has.
2. Pour toffee onto parchment paper and allow to cool completely.
Break toffee into desired sizes and dip in melted chocolate. Allow to harden completely before eating.
