It’s almost too sweet to be true.
For the sauce:
Melt butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir in brown sugar and cream. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Remove from heat; add vanilla and salt. Set aside.
For the grilled pineapple:
Lop off the top of the pineapple. Peel by slicing down the side to remove the peel. Cut the pineapple lengthwise into 8 wedges. Remove core from each wedge. Heat your grill to medium heat.
In a small bowl combine melted butter, sugar and nutmeg. Brush this over the pineapple. Grill pineapple over medium heat for 7-8 minutes, turning once, until lightly browned with grill marks.
In dessert bowls, place 1 spear of grilled pineapple and 2 scoops of ice cream; pour sauce over top.
