This pie tastes amazing! Everyone who eats it wants the recipe. Don’t be fooled by its looks. It’s very rich and decadent. I’m sorry the photo isn’t of the complete pie. My photo was too large for the download and this is the size that would fit.
Stir all the ingredients together and put into prepared pie shell. (Use real vanilla if you have it. It makes a big difference!)
Bake at 350 degrees (F) for 30-40 minutes. Don’t underbake or overbake. The color in the photo is how you want yours to look. If it’s underbaked, it’s too jiggly. If overbaked, too dry.
Enjoy a little taste of Kentucky! Freezes very well after baking. It’s a great dessert for any occasion and it’s made with ingredients you probably already have.

Try adding an extra 1/4 cup chocolate chips, a pinch of salt, 2-3 Tbsp Maker’s Mark, and taking the vanilla down to 1-2 tsp. To Die For.

Looks yummy, but it’s not Derby Pie without the Bourbon!

This pie was so easy to make with ingredients I had on hand. Looks great and tastes even better. Next time I might add a couple Tbsp of Makers Mark and see what happens. Now, if I can only be a really good girl and freeze half of it before I eat it!
