Description

These are a favorite on my trays at Christmas. Nice healthy snack, minus the sugar. Haha.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Pecans
  • 2 Tablespoons Butter
  • 2 Tablespoons Packed Brown Sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons Maple Syrup (can Use Maple Flavored)

Preparation

Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Line cookie sheet with cooking parchment paper. In 12-inch skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add brown sugar and syrup, mix well. Cook until bubbly, stirring constantly.

2. Add pecans, cook 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly, until coated. Spread mixture onto parchment lined cookie sheet.

Bake 6-8 minutes or until golden brown. Cool completely, about 30 minutes. Store in tightly covered container for up to 2 weeks.

Makes 16 Servings (2 tablespoons each).

These are perfect! I love that they don’t use the egg whites to make a glaze. I shy away from recipes that call for that. They generally flake off, plus I think it tastes ‘scratchy’. HAHA. Thanks for sharing this. I’ve made it for 3 open houses this holiday!!

These are wonderful, easy and a hit with all the people give them to! They are very simple to make too. If you don’t like the taste of maple syrup, don’t worry. The maple flavor is just a ‘hint’ in the yummy overall taste.

Very Good! I love the maple in them. One of my dad’s favorite treats is candied pecans. I am making him 3 different varieties this year. I’m sure these will be a hit. Thank you for sharing!
